Meet Evan

Evan is a Solicitor and founding partner at RLegal Solicitors, with over 30 years' experience practicing immigration law since 1991. His expertise covers all aspects of corporate and private UK immigration case, and he has accumulated extensive knowledge having worked on complex and challenging cases from initial applications through to appeals before the highest immigration courts.

At the outset of his career Evan frequently presented cases before immigration judges at the First-Tier Immigration Tribunal while working at the Immigration Advisory Service for five years and was subsequently appointed a manager.
In private practice, Evan has prepared and represented clients at the High Court up to the Court of Appeal. He has also worked in the immigration team at Mishcon de Reya where he worked for corporate and high net worth clients related matters which broadened his experience.
Evan is a past Assessor for the Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme and former member of the Law Society Immigration Law Panel for Solicitors. He has written articles on immigration law for publications, including Tolley’s Immigration Law and Practice. In addition, he has provided training to solicitors and other practitioners on business immigration matters and was an external assessor to the Home Office NAM project, training Home Office presenting officers to present cases at the First-Tier Immigration Tribunal.
Over the past 30 years Evan has taken pride in assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds, charities, SMEs, and corporations including visa applications through to naturalising as British citizens. He recently provided specialist immigration advice in court proceedings on behalf of a local authority.
